Vermont JCI Senate 50th Anniversary

Current Officers:

The Vermont JCI Senate will soon be celebrating a very momentous occasion. On May 20, 2017 our organization will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the founding of our state organization. Almost 50 years ago six young men met in Barre, VT., and decided that they wanted to be a part of another organization similar to the Jaycees organization. What evolved from that meeting, became the beginnings of the Vermont JCI Senate as we know it today.

The Vermont JCI Senate 50th Anniversary celebration will be taking place from May 19 – 21, 2017, at the Fireside Inn & Suites located in West Lebanon, NH, just across the Connecticut River and less than one mile from the Vermont / New Hampshire border.

We are planning on hosting the Region 1 caucus that weekend as well, hoping to attract many out of state Senators to stay and celebrate with us.

All told, it plans to be a very busy weekend. It will all start off with the hospitality room opening at approximently 3 PM on Friday. On Saturday morning the day starts with the Region 1 caucus starting at 9 AM. We expect that meeting to be done by noon or shortly after. That will leave the afternoon for shopping, or socializing. The main event of the weekend starts Saturday night at 5:30 with a cocktail hour preceding the celebration of our 50th Anniversary. We expect our celebration to last about 3 hours after which we can retire to the hospitality room to socialize. The final event of the weekend will be our traditional Bloody Mary morning wake up at 7 AM Sunday morning. Our hope is that our bloody mary master – Gary Lazetera is able to join us.

We expect that we will have our National President Jim Mamman in attendance, along with hopefully several other National officers, and other Regional VP’s.

We haven’t seen some of you for quite a while. Now will be the time to renew old friendships and perhaps make some new ones from around the country and our region. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the date of May 19 – 21, 2017.
